Further, as families of five, we both know firsthand how quickly plastic packaging can pile up on an everyday basis. Despite our best efforts, it’s all too easy to unintentionally contribute to this problem when most products are packaged in single-use plastic.

At [RE·ESSENCE]™, we believe in making personal care and care for nature go hand in hand. Did you know that hand soap typically consists of 90% water? That's why it makes perfect sense to add water at home instead of carrying it. This simple change saves the environment up to 92% in transport carbon emissions, frees up storage space at home, and reduces the consumption of single-use plastic. So not only will you be making a conscious choice for the environment, but you'll also have a stunning and functional soap dispenser that you can use again and again and again.

We place a strong emphasis on minimizing our environmental impact. One way we achieve this is by keeping transportation routes as short as possible and supporting regional producers. That's why we've made the decision to exclusively manufacture our powder refills and packaging in Denmark.

While our commitment to sustainability remains strong, we currently source our glass bottle from China through sea transportation. Despite our efforts to produce the bottle locally, we haven't yet found a European supplier who can match the quality and price that we're aiming for. Nonetheless, the bottles we use are designed for long-term use, and therefore, still align with our sustainable approach.

1. WATER – Fill your everlasting bottle with 310ml of lukewarm tap water. There is a line mark on the back side of the [RE·ESSENCE]™ bottle.
2. ESSENCE – Add powder, close pump and turn the bottle gently upside down for 30 seconds. To avoid spilling of powder you might want to use the funnel included in starter sets.
3. MIX – Leave it overnight for your nourishing hand soap to mix. Give it another turn in the morning. Lumps might still occur, however the powder will dissolve over time.

To ensure the powder mixes well with the water without producing excessive foam, gently turn the bottle upside down and back again.

While it's important to note that it may take up to 24 hours for all of the ingredients to fully integrate (you might notice lumps in the mixture), rest assured that the powder will eventually mix perfectly with the water. Simply give the bottle another gentle turn as needed.

In the rare event that you accidentally shake the bottle instead of gently turning it, causing excess foam to form, don't worry - there are a couple of solutions. Firstly, you can let the bottle sit for a few moments until the foam subsides on its own. Alternatively, you can twist the cap to "open" and/or give a few pumps to release a small amount of foam from the bottle. This should help to restore the optimal consistency of the product.

For optimal mixing of the powder and water, we recommend using lukewarm tap water.

Our hand soap is crafted using 98.5% natural ingredients, carefully chosen for their cleansing and nourishing properties. To enhance the cleansing experience, we included a gentle sulfate-free anionic surfactant, Disodium Lauryl
Sulfosuccinate (DLS), comprising the remaining 1.5% of our formula. DLS creates a rich, foamy lather with water that effectively lifts dirt and oils from your skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and clean. While some prefer to avoid DLS, we can assure you that it is gentle on your skin and, given that hand soap is a rinse-off product and the percentage is so low, there is no cause for concern.
Nevertheless, our ultimate goal is to use 100% natural ingredients in our products, and we are actively exploring alternative options to provide you with the best possible hand soap.

We use a very small amount of natural essential oils in our scented products.

It's worth noting that while essential oils are derived from natural sources, they can still cause skin irritation for certain individuals.

As a result, we've also developed a Sensitive/Fragrance Free variant that caters to those with skin allergies or those who want to reduce the risk of developing such allergies. This variant bears the AllergyCertified label meaning that it has been thoroughly reviewed and assessed to ensure that it's free from any allergenic substances.

Once you've run out of product all you need to do is refill.

To ensure the quality of your product, we recommend rinsing your bottle before refilling.

To maintain the bottle's coloring, please rinse by hand and refrain from cleaning it in the dishwasher.

Fill your empty bottle with lukewarm tap water thoroughly. Repeat if needed. Rinse the pump under the tap and clean it by pumping it 3-4 times in lukewarm tap water until all residues are gone.

With proper care, your bottle and pump can serve you for several years, reducing waste and providing long-lasting value.

Of course it is possible to use other bottles, however it is important to note that safety and quality tests have been conducted in our [RE·ESSENCE]™ bottle. As such, we cannot guarantee the same level of quality and effectiveness when our products are mixed in alternative containers.

If you do decide to use other bottles, please ensure that they are thoroughly cleaned.

We use a Transofoil® 12/12/6,35/15/40 high barrier laminate for our refills. We have chosen this material because it combines excellent oxygen, light and moisture protection. This means our powder refills do not have an expiry date as long as they are stored in a dry and cool place.

Our [RE·ESSENCE]™ refills have an indefinite shelf life when unopened. This is due to the high barrier laminate we use, which provides superior protection against oxygen, light, and moisture.

Once the refill is opened however, the powder must be dissolved immediately.

Additionally, the mixed [RE·ESSENCE]™ hand soap has a shelf life of 12 months.
